I’m sure this has been done before, but when I see people post their cars half the time I either forgot they had that or had no idea to begin with. So what’s everyone driving these days.

2004 330i ZHP. Got it at 102k miles, just hit 235k miles.

The wife has a 2008 Buick Lacrosse Super. It’s the one with the V8. It’s nowhere near as fun as people seem to think it is.

I’d drive my M3 at least once a week if it wasn’t almost 80 miles and the car didn’t have to sit in the sun all day in a parking lot where the spaces are pretty close together.

Yeah, and with it being a K-series engine I can find parts easily. Even in Europe it’s rare to find one with a manual and the K24. Japan didn’t even have the manual available at all, which is weird since it was built there.

Didn’t know you had a 335d. I thought about getting one as my daily, I drive 75 miles everyday. I was concerned with potential problems, which swayed me away from it.

I appreciate my M3 a lot more now that I don’t drive it everyday. It had sort of lost its luster after I was driving it everyday while I was unemployed.

I still question the series of choices that led me to believe that I should get a Fiat 500 as my roomy and reliable commuter car, but that’s the way it goes. I’ve also got a hurricane survivor with a salvage title. It’s not exactly street legal, but I’ve driven over 5,000 miles in it since it flooded during Hurricane Matthew. Here’s a pic of us about to make the 500 mile move north, with me driving the uhaul and towing the Miata while my girlfriend drives the floodmobile.

That was probably because you were in Roswell when Irma did basically nothing except knock some trees over in Gwinnett County.

We didn’t even get any wind in Cherokee County, where I live.

I bought mine CPO and then carbon buildup symptoms started showing (CEL, lower MPGs, more regen cycles). My dealer started throwing parts at it even though I told them it was carbon buildup. They finally figured out it was carbon buildup and cleaned it out after about $6k worth of various parts and labor, all covered under warranty. After all of that I was leery of it and looking to trade it in, but depreciation hit it hard in that time frame. Since then I haven’t had any troubles, but its always sitting in the back of my mind, but I recently turned over 100k miles, so its not worth much anymore and I’ve pretty much decided to keep it (plus every car I look to replace it with gets worse mileage and probably costs more to maintain.) It makes a great daily.

That basically sounds like what I found when I looked into them. I was like, yeah I don’t have the money for a random 4k repair anymore, and it seems like carbon build up plus DPF issues are common enough for it to not be worth the risk to me. I’m going to get an N/A 3. After going 2/2 on throttle position actuators with the M3, I figured I would have similar luck with a 335d. Sounds like it does make an incredible daily. Honestly if I was still in oil I would love to pick one up and put and LSD in it.

Yes, that is not a mistake. I like to go hiking on the weekends, which means going off-road aka bombing through the Mojave in the Camry. It does the job.

The Miata gets >30 mpg mixed, which involves everything from sitting in traffic to 6th gear cruising.
